Assessing candidates organizational Fit is crucial to job performance. As a leading executive search firm we recognize this and take pains to define what kind of role the client is looking for.
The usual approach followed by many firms is to conduct a psychometric assessment of the candidates. This reveals information about a candidate’s personality traits. But it is not customized to the organization and the job. At Cornerstone, we aspire to recruit the best talent for our clients and help them retain it. We use psychometric tests and combine it with other tools like Behavioral Interview, 360 degree feedback and assessment center, if required.
As a first step, we use HOGAN, the gold standard in personality tests, encompassing a battery of intensive tests developed by eminent Psychologist Robert Hogan for a comprehensive review of a candidate’s personality. Unlike other tests HOGAN is particularly suited to the workplace and makes a far reaching contribution to candidate assessments. Cornerstone specialists are authorized and certified to administer HOGAN personality assessments. HOGAN uses an array of tests each complementing the other to provide a complete picture of the candidate.
The Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) aims to measure the normal or bright-side personality – qualities that describe how we relate to others when we are at our best.
The Hogan Development Survey (HDS) describes the dark side of personality – qualities that derail peoples’ chances of success.
The Motives emerge in times of increased strain and can disrupt relationships, damage reputations and Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI) describes personality from the inside – the core goals, values, drivers, and interests that determine what we desire and strive to attain.
The Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI) describes reasoning style – the ability to evaluate sets of data, make decisions, solve problems, and avoid repeating past mistakes.
