Vivek Punekar is a Senior Advisor with Cornerstone India for CXO Search & Advisory Services. He is a passionate Business Leader and IT industry veteran with diverse experience in Information Technology, Education, Distribution and Leadership Skill development.

Vivek joined AuthBridge Research Services, India’s leading Screening Services and Risk Management Company, as Chief Operating Officer in 2015. At Authbridge, a start-up company in scale up stage, Vivek was responsible for ensuring AuthBridge’s scale up given the organization’s aggressive future strategy & growth trajectory. Vivek was also responsible for ensuring that the four pillars of People, Processes, Technology & Clients are solid, secure and scalable. Innovative solutions, the hallmark of AuthBridge, were the foundation for all his initiatives.

Previous Experience:
Prior to joining AuthBridge as COO, Vivek served nearly 30 years with HCL Infosystems. He held a number of senior leadership positions in various functions from Systems Support, Sales to Strategic Initiatives Group under direct supervision of HCL founder & Chairman, and in 2002 was appointed CHRO of HCL Infosystems. During this period, Vivek was also part of many start-ups in HCL group including HCL Learning and HCL Care. Known for innovative HR strategies Vivek created many ‘firsts’ in IT industry – including HCL Education program, a finishing school for Engineering graduates that imparted high end IT training & ensured 100% Job guarantee way back in 2002. He was also the brain behind the launch of EPAT [Empowered People Action Team], including Women Empowered PAT to build HCL as the Employer of Choice. Under his leadership HCL won “Best Employer” awards for consecutive 9 years.

Vivek is University rank holder & has his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic engineering from University of Karnataka in 1985. He currently resides in Noida with his family.
